Is the G Fund the Place to Be in 2009?

Let's look at G fund returns for the month of December and the following
year....

2001 .42%..next year 5%
2002 .38%..next year 4.11%
2003 .49%..next year 4.3%
2004 .38%..next year 4.49%
2005 .45%..next year 4.93%
2006 .34%..next year 4.87%
2007 .41%..next year 3.75%

Dec 2008 return for G fund was 0.24% which is an annualized rate of
2.88%

Equities should have a much higher return in 2009 than the G fund, given
the major hit that they received in 2008.
